Children in Krishna Consciousness
Dear devotees,
My humble obeisances to Srila Gurudeva and all the esteemed Vaishnavas! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!!
Teaching material are now available for training children in Krishna Consciousness. All the material is in English.
The material is organized topic-wise (please see list below) and for each topic, there are information sheets (giving a basic idea of that topic), stories and various activities available.
E.g.
1. For 'Lord Narasimha', we have the story of Narasimhadeva's appearance, 11 colouring sheets, a crossword, 3 drama scripts, suggested activities for various age groups and a teacher's guide for celebrating Narasimha Caturdashi with children.
2. For the topic 'Nine Processes of devotional service', there are information sheets explaining what the nine processes are and the related sloka. There are activities based on these. Then for each of the nine processes, there are information sheets, the story of devotees who achieved perfection through that process, colouring sheets and activities.
This teaching material can be readily used for conducting weekly classes for devotee or karmi children from age 4 to 12 years. It doesn't go into a lot of depth, so is not suitable for Gurukula children, but they might benefit from some of the activities or drama scripts. Parents who wish to engage their children in Krishna conscious activities at home can also use this material.
